Stretching and trigger point release of the muscles around your neck, upper back, and shoulders will help relieve the tension that is brought on by bad postures which cause pain. You can do stretches and trigger point release before, during and after a task or situation that causes and increases muscle tension. Keep a tennis ball in your car, at your desk, or any other place that is handy so you remember to trigger point release yourself.

Try these techniques either using just your hands or a tennis ball placed under your hands for a deeper release. Breathe.
