Movement break! One of the very important jobs your pelvic floor needs to do is stabilize your core with movement. But HOW you move matters. Start with awareness of your postural alignment-chest over pelvis, knee soft, not locked. Feeling the center of your weight over both arches, “reach” back towards the chair with your tailbone to hinge from the hips. This is how your core was meant to function, as a team, to stabilize your center while your arms and legs move. Incorporate this routine into your day, especially after sitting at work or in the car all day. Notice how it improves blood flow, mobility and the ease of transition from sit to stand.
