March is endometriosis awareness month! Endometriosis is when some of the tissue that is supposed to only line our uterus is also found other places in the abdomen. This can create painful, debilitating cramps for the women living with this condition. It affects digestion, abdominal muscle function, back and back pain. However, there are many things that can be done in therapy to alleviate those symptoms! pelvic floor muscle retraining, abdominal massage, relaxation positions, and gentle stretches can all decrease that pain.
