An elephant in the room, that’s what Menopause is. We all know that every female will go through it to some degree. It is also common knowledge that at some point most every female will see trampolines as bladder’s enemy #1. No longer interested in sex? Another “normal sign of aging” right? While, yes, Menopause is the term used for the normal female transition of aging, everything I else I mentioned is common symptoms of the many stages of Menopause. So, let’s talk about the 3 stages of Menopause.
Peri-menopause is the term used for when the change really begins. It is the beginning of the natural transition towards menopause or the end of your reproductive cycle. You will begin to notice changes in your cycle. Most notably, your periods become irregular and difficult to plan for or maybe they are more or less heavy or painful. This is the stage where most of the craziness happens because the hormone shifts can be the greatest. It also tends to last the longest.
